Earlier this year, House of Brick published a joint white paper with AWS – “Oracle Cost Traps and How to Overcome Them with AWS Solutions”.
Many of our clients want the benefits of a migration to AWS but have been hesitant about migrating Oracle database workloads. The white paper details those “traps” and the real-world options provided by leveraging AWS.
House of Brick will now be presenting at AWS Database Modernization Week to further overview the white paper. The virtual event runs from Monday, July 26 to Thursday, July 29 – House of Brick has the first session @ 9 AM PT/12 PM ET on Wednesday, July 28.

Many organizations that want the benefits of AWS are hesitant to migrate Oracle database workloads due to the cost traps and risks associated with Oracle licensing. In this session, House of Brick, Oracle Licensing Specialist and AWS Advanced Consulting Partner, will address common Oracle cost traps, and the fear, uncertainty and doubt that Oracle customers face in today’s market. They will also offer suggestions on how to overcome them with AWS solutions.
Nick Walter, HoB Database Cloud Architect and AWS Data Hero, will be the lead presenter with support from Joe Grant and Cam Cameron, also HoB Database Cloud Architects. Each of them collaborated with AWS on development of the white paper. We will have live chat & Q&A based on poll and participant questions.
