The Exadata Problem
Migrating your Oracle databases off of Exadata is certainly a manageable endeavor, but the Exadata can pose some challenges. We address these challenges in the white paper.
Licensing
With any Oracle database migration, we want to make sure that we stay in compliance with licensing. Oracle licenses are very expensive, which means getting out of compliance is very expensive. Migrating workloads to a new platform means installing the software on the target environment. We need to keep track of all of these deployments to make sure we don’t have compliance problems.
